It is the policy of Missouri State University-West Plains that all international students with an F-1 status are required to enroll in the Comprehensive Student Injury and Sickness Plan designed for students of Missouri State University-West Plains. They will be billed by the University for the applicable rate upon registration for classes each semester. As recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Missouri Department of Health, Missouri State University-West Plains requires that all students from countries where Tuberculosis (TB) is endemic be tested for TB. Students may obtain a TB screening upon arrival in West Plains or at another medical facility in the United States.
International students are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. The English language requirement for admission will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 on the paper-based test or 173 on the computer-based test or has completed Level 109 at an ELLS Language Center. Official transcripts from all previous institutions attended must be on file with the Office of Admissions.
