Never Gone......

A favorite annual high school event in the Ozarks is a snow day. Oh how we loved waking up early to watch the news to be sure we could spend the rest of the day in the snow. Then spring time comes around. This is when we all realize that our snow days came with a price, no Spring Break!

Even in college, I had to wake up early in the morning and call the Weather Hotline to see if we had school. And just like many high school students, I got to spend the day running around in the snow; even getting my picture on the cover of the local newspaper for my excellent sledding. When this spring came around I thought the worst (assuming spring break was canceled), but much to my surprise we got 10 days off! A much needed break indeed.

Now that we are back in school, I realize that I only have ten more class periods for each class. How this year has flown by. All of the scholarship applications are due the 15th of this month and everything is winding down. I hope that you all had a chance to enjoy this spring, but don't get spring fever and forget to fill out your scholarship applications.
