Agriculture

Agriculture has long been an important part of the U.S. economy. Technological advances have significantly increased agriculture output over the years and agriculture continues to be one of the top industries in the U.S. in terms of total employment.

Missouri State University-West Plains offers several agriculture courses. Students may complete an Associate of Applied Science in General Agriculture or complete individual courses, for use as electives in other degree programs or just for continuing education.  Students with this degree may elect to continue their education at a four-year institution.

Students may choose to complete a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in General Agriculture completing on the West Plains Campus.  This degree is offered as part of the Pathways Program.
