Over 1,800 attend Smithsonian exhibit
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Students at several area high schools are among the 1,800-plus visitors who have viewed the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit “Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon: Vietnamese Americans Since 1975” since it opened on Oct. 9 at the West Plains Civic Center as part of the schedule of activities of The Big Read of Howell County.

Grizzlies outrun Fort Scott Greyhounds
FORT SCOTT, Kan. – A shaky start by their opponent coupled with their own hot hand from the field in the first half helped the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball team pick up its second win of the season Wednesday night, Nov. 4, when they defeated the Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds 64-48 at Fort Scott, Kan.

Grizzlies prepare to host region volleyball tourney
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team will go for its 11th consecutive Region 16 title this weekend when it hosts the Region 16 Championship Volleyball Tournament at the West Plains Civic Center.

Missouri State-West Plains receives grant for Project REWARD
WEST PLAINS, Mo.– A $40,000 grant through United Thank Offering (UTO), a foundation of the Episcopal Church of the USA (ECUSA), will help Missouri State University-West Plains establish a single parent educational resource center at All Saints’ Episcopal Church’s former rectory at 105 S. Curry St. in West Plains.

Vietnam veteran to speak at veterans program

Grizzly men's club golf team finishes fall season
