Missouri State University-West Plains Career Services will host a Job/Career Fair Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the West Plains Civic Center Exhibition Hall. The Career Fair is open to the public and all students are encouraged to attend.
Students and alumni of Missouri State University-West Plains may utilize the many services this office provides. Using career planning assessments and resource materials for exploring occupations, the Career Services Office helps students plan their careers. The Career Services Office can also help students find a part-time or full-time job through the Job Locator and Development Program. Following graduation, alumni may continue to use the Career Services Office services for job placement purposes. The Career Services Office also provides a computer lab for career research. The lab is available to students and the public. Please check out the variety of services offered to see how the Career Services Office may help with your future plans.
The Career Services Office conducts classroom presentations & workshops concerning the improvement of job search skills. Resume development is a critical component of a job search and presentations are made each semester to the students. The Career Services Office may plan additional events throughout the year and inquiries should be made with the office to see what is being offered. The office also welcomes comments and input from students for expanding the Career Services Office conducted workshops.
