Employer Services

The Career Services Office works to link students and alumni with prospective employers. The Career Services Office continuously communicates with employers about job openings, also hosts the Spring Career Day event, and assists with employers conducting on-campus recruiting. Additional contact with area employers occurs when the Career Services Office performs an Employer Survey. As the University continues its rapid growth and looks to expand the student internship opportunities, the Career Services Office seeks out new employers to participate in this important program.

Employer Disclaimer

Missouri State University-West Plains offers job listings as a free service to area employers who are seeking part-time and full-time employees.  It is provided for MSU-WP students to give them part-time employment opportunities with convenient geographical access, the exception being off-academic year position during the summer months or alumni seeking full-time employment. This service is primarily for part-time employment to assist students in continuing their education while affording to opportunity for work experience as they attend classes. In good faith, we work only with employers who subscribe to the Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines adhered to by the University as stated below. We reserve the right to review listings and refuse service to employers for factors such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Misrepresentation by dishonest information or absence of information
  • Fraud
  • Complaints by students
  • Harassment of Missouri State University-West Plains students or staff
  • Breach of confidentiality
  • Positions not likely of interest to college students
  • Outlay of personal funding required to obtain the position
  • Agencies, organizations, or individuals who solicit employment other than for their own needs
