Awarded to a nursing student with first priority consideration to a resident of Wright County. If no eligible applicants, second priority consideration would be to applicants from the seven-county service area. Student should have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher during his or her school career and have demonstrated involvement in community service documented with two letters of reference from individuals who can reference the commitment demonstrated by the candidate. Award will be made without regard for financial need. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while receiving the scholarship.
Recipient may be considered for renewal but must reapply and have earned at least a 3.0 GPA or higher while receiving the scholarship.
Complete the Missouri State University – West Plains scholarship application and return it along with two letters of reference from individuals who can reference the commitment demonstrated by the candidate.

Award to a student enrolled in the nursing program at Missouri State University – West Plains. Applicant must be a resident of Howell or Oregon County and must have graduated from a public high school. Recipient must have a 3.0 or higher GPA in all previous educational programs. Award will be made with regard to financial need with preference being given to an individual who requires some financial assistance but may not qualify for a federal or state grant. Application must include the names of two references who know the student well.
Recipient may be considered for renewal but must reapply.
Complete the Missouri State University – West Plains scholarship application and return it to the Financial Aid Office.

Recipient must be a graduate of South Central Area Vocational LPN School who is currently seeking an Associate of Science degree in Nursing at Missouri State University – West Plains. Recipient must have maintained an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in his or her college program. Awards are made without regard to financial need.

Complete the Missouri State University – West Plains scholarship application and return it to the Financial Aid Office.

Recipient must be a graduate of South Central Area Vocational LPN School who is currently a student in the Missouri State University – West Plains nursing program seeking an Associate of Science degree in Nursing. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have exhibited civic involvement and/or participated in events for individuals with special needs. Applicants from the Howell County area will be given first consideration, then applicants from Oregon, Shannon, Texas, Ozark, Wright and Douglas counties. Applicants must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in their college program. Award will be made without regard to financial need.

Must be enrolled in the Missouri State University – West Plains nursing program and be from Texas, Oregon or Howell counties. When awarded to an incoming freshman, consideration will be given to financial need, high school performance and college potential as indicated by aptitude tests. Awards will be made with regard to financial need and may be used for course fees, books and supplies. Must be enrolled in at least 12 hours each semester.
Recipient must reapply to be considered.

Recipient must be a resident of Oregon County, accepted into the Missouri State University – West Plains nursing program, and a full-time student. Other selection factors include financial need, high school academic performance, college potential as indicated by aptitude tests, and leadership qualities.

Recipient must be enrolled in the Nursing Program at Missouri State University – West Plains. Award is based on financial need and academic credentials of the applicants. Preference to applicants who require some financial assistance but may not qualify for a federal or state grant. Applicant must be from the seven-county service area (Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas, or Wright Counties). Applicant must have graduated in the upper 15 percent of his or her high school graduating class or received a GED score of 2860 or higher. Recipient must continue to be enrolled in at least 12 hours each semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA during the payment of the scholarship

Complete the Missouri State University – West Plains scholarship application and return it to the Financial Aid Office along with two letters of reference from an educator or a member of the community.
