Students transferring to Missouri State University-Springfield Campus may be interested in applying in the scholarships described below. If you received a Leadership Scholarship or Board of Governors Scholarship from Missouri State-West Plains, check with the West Plains Office of Financial Aid regarding similar scholarships for which you may be eligible at the Springfield campus.
$5,728 per year (A flat amount abased on basic required fees for 32 credit hours at the resident rate). Must be eligible for the Missouri State University-West Plains Freshman Board of Governors Scholarship upon entry to Missouri State University-West Plains and must meet Missouri State University-Springfield renewal criteria upon transfer. $2,250. Must be eligible for the Missouri State University-West Plains Freshman Academic Scholarship upon entry to Missouri State University-West Plains and must meet Missouri State University-Springfield renewal criteria upon transfer. $1,000. Must be selected for the Missouri State University-West Plains Leadership Scholarship by high school superintendent during senior year of high school. Must meet Missouri State University-Springfield renewal criteria upon transfer. Contact the Missouri State University-West Plains Financial Aid Office to apply.
$2,000. Must be an Missouri State University-West Plains student who has completed at least 30 hours at the community college with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Recipients are nominated by Missouri State University-West Plains Chancellor. Complete and submit the Missouri State University-West Plains Scholarship application by March 1. $1,500.Recipient must have completed at least 45 credit hours with a minimum 3.60 cumulative grade point average. To be considered, complete the Transfer Academic Scholarship application at the following web address: www.missouristate.edu/transferacademicapp and apply for admission to Missori State Univeristy-Springfield by March 1.
Basic required fees for 32 credit hours per year (15 per semester) for Missouri residents (Current Value is $5,728. Recipient must be a current member of Phi Theta Kappa. Complete the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application. Documentation of membership from chapter advisor is required with application by March 31.
First-time freshmen and associate-degreed transfer students at the Springfield Campus who meet the criteria will recieve a Missouri State Promise Scholarship. The award provides students from households with incomes below the poverty level with an institutional grant to supplement federal, state, institutional and/or private grants and scholarships they may recieve to ensure that the total gift aid will cover their tuition and fees and a standard book allowance. Students entering in summer or falll should apply for admission by June 1 and complete the FAFSA by March 31. Students entering in spring should apply for admission by October 1 and complete the FAFSA by October 31.
