Placed fourth in Region 16 regular season and post-season tournament. Sophomore Johnnie McLawhorn was the leading scorer in NJCAA Region 16 during the regular season and was named to the All-Region Team.

Finished second in the Region 16 regular season and advanced to the three-game championship series of the NJCAA Region 16 post-season tournament. In the third game of the season, the Grizzlies defeated eventual NJCAA Division I national champion University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, 99 - 86. They also defeated Kirkwood, Iowa, a team that was runner-up in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament and North Lake, Texas, a team that won the NJCAA Division III National Tournament. The Grizzlies won against five teams once ranked in the top ten and seven teams that were ranked in the NJCAA top 15 during the year. They defeated ten teams that won 20 or more games and had seven wins and seven losses against teams that had won one or more national championships. Tyrone Brazelton was named Player of the Year in NJCAA Region 16 and NJCAA First Team All-American.

Tyrone Brazelton and Andrais Thornton named to NJCAA All-Region 16 Team.
