Welcome Week

Dates: Thursday August 20, Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Times: Starts at 12:00 PM each day and ends approximately 5:00 PM

Location: Campus-wide

Description: Three day event where entering freshmen have the opportunity to meet new people and get to know the campus and its services.

Student Greetings

Dates: Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

Times: Various times throughout the day.

Location: Looney, Lybyer, Melton, Kellett Hall, Respiratory Therapy, and Garnett Library

Description: Students from campus organizations will greet students, help them find classes, and answer their questions.  Assisting students will wear Missouri State University-West Plains shirts from their organization to help them be more identifiable to new students

Operation First Smile

Dates: Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

Times: Various times throughout the day.

Location: Looney, Lybyer, Melton, Kellett Hall, Respiratory Therapy, and Garnett Library.

Description: A front-door, in-person welcome to students by faculty, staff and administration to greet students, answer questions, provide directions and, maybe, provide a small gift.

Welcome Back BBQ

Dates: Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Times: 11:00 AM-1:30 PM

Location: Near Grizzly House Basketball Court.

Description: Free cookout for students, faculty, and staff to have the opportunity to meet in a friendly social setting. Student organizations and local businesses will be available to promote their opportunities, goods and services.
