Adult Students and Higher Educations

The purposes of Adult Students in Higher Education (ASHE) are:

·         To provide academic and social support for adult students at Missouri State University-West Plains.

·         To provide social and educational activities.

·         To enable adult students to interact with members of the senior administration.

·         To provide opportunities for adult students to serve their university.

Agriculture Club

Purpose

The purpose of the Missouri State University-West Plains Agriculture Club is to provide opportunities for student members to develop the skills needed to enter and advance in careers in agriculture, agri-business, horticulture and natural resources.  The Ag Club is affiliated with the National Post secondary Agriculture Student Organization and the Missouri Post secondary Agriculture Student Organization.  

Meeting Days/Times  

The Ag Club meets once per month during the fall and spring semesters.  Contact Cathy Proffit Boys for meeting day and time.

Our Mission: "Growing to make a difference on campus"
   Christian Campus House of West Plains (CCH) is a student organization and an off campus organization.  We are located just down the road from Lybyer on corner West Main Street and Monk Street, behind rock house with sign in front yard. CCH is open 9am-9pm to relax & study.  
CCH offers many things throughout the week for students to have fun and meet other Christians.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an international honor society for two-year colleges. Students are invited to join when they have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Who should become a member? Members are invited by the organization based upon their GPA.

Student Alumni Association (SAA)

The mission of the Student Alumni Association (SAA) shall be to:
  1. Promote positive relations and interaction between the students and alumni of Missouri State University West Plains.
  2. Create an awareness of, and involve students in, the Alumni Association programs and services offered to Missouri State West Plains alumni.
  3. Encourage present Missouri State West Plains students to become active, loyal, and supportive alumni after graduation

Requirements: Must be a Full time student with a 3.0 GPA

Student Ambassadors

Ambassadors perform roles associated with hosting campus events and guests. These include giving campus tours, assisting with career days, high school visits and Red Carpet Days, and representing Missouri State West Plains at community events.

To become a member of Student Ambassadors, you must be a registered full-time or part-time students with an ACT score of at least 20 and maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. You must also demonstrate a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills.

Grizzly Golf Team

Missouri State University-West Plains established a men's club golf team in 2006. After a highly successful season that included a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament, a women's team was formed soon thereafter. Grizzly golf team members receive strong support and excellent instruction.  We invite inquiries from student interested in becoming involved in a well-organized collegiate golf program.
