WEST PLAINS, Mo.– Regular registration for the 2008 summer session and fall semester is now underway at Missouri State University-West Plains, and area residents interested in enrolling at the campus will find over 300 classes from which to choose, campus officials said.
Officials remind that associate degrees are available in general studies, nursing, business, child and family development, computer graphics and programming, computer technology, enology, entrepreneurship, fire science technology, general agriculture, general technology, law enforcement, respiratory therapy, teaching and viticulture.
In addition to on-campus courses at West Plains, Missouri State-West Plains offers classes online and at its extended campuses in Houston and Mountain Grove.
Current and readmitted students who did not enroll during early registration April 22-26, as well as transfer and special students, can enroll for 2008 summer and fall courses during the regular registration period.  Regular registration continues through June 8 for the summer session and Aug. 24 for the fall semester.
Students need to visit with their adviser and receive their alternate PIN (Alt PIN) number before registering online through the Grizzly Den on the Missouri State-West Plains Web site at http://grizzlyden.missouristate.edu.  They also may register in the Office of Registration and Records in Looney Hall, 128 Garfield Ave., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
First-time freshmen or transfer students with less than 10 credit hours will register for their fall classes during the university’s Student Advising and Registration (STAR) Orientation sessions.  For more information about the STAR Orientation sessions and how to register for an orientation session, contact the Student Advisement and Academic Support (SAAS) Center at 417-255-7222.
First-time freshmen or transfer students who have been admitted for the summer session will register for summer classes after meeting with an adviser in the SAAS Center office.  They will still need to attend a STAR Orientation session to register for fall semester classes, university officials said.
A complete listing of courses for the summer session and fall semester is available in the Missouri State-West Plains Summer/Fall 2008 Schedule of Courses.  For a copy of the schedule, contact the Missouri State-West Plains Office of Admissions at 417-255-7955, or visit the Missouri State-West Plains Web site at http://www.wp.missouristate.edu.
