WEST PLAINS, Mo.– Missouri State University-West Plains will offer its writing sample test and a residual ACT test Saturday, July 12, at its extended campus in Mountain Grove.
The writing sample test will get underway at 11 a.m. at Shannon Hall, 401 E. 17th St.; the ACT test will begin at 1 p.m. at the same location.
University officials said the writing sample and ACT tests are used to evaluate a student's reading, writing and math skills to ensure the student is placed in appropriate courses. The ACT also is a requirement for all students enrolling in full-time study with the university, they added.
Students may take the writing sample test free of charge; however, there is a $35 fee for the ACT test which is payable at the time of testing.
Pre-registration for both tests is required. For more information or to register for testing, contact the Missouri State-West Plains Student Advisement & Academic Support (SAAS) Center at 417-255-7222.
